Theatre groups in Enfield

Enfield north London is the home of several theatre and Am dram groups. Plays, Musicals and Panto's are staged throughout the year in Enfield and standards will vary. The Millfield theatre and Dugdale centre will play host to many well know stars and professionally produced shows. Am dram is alive and well in Enfield with amateur theatre groups pouring their energy's into their latest show.

There are three well know theatres in the local area and these are the Chicken shed, Dugdale centre and the Millfield theatre.

Dugdale Centre, 39 London Road, Enfield EN2 6DS

The Dugdale is sure to play host to a panto or Christmas Tale. It is a nice venue in the heart of Enfield town. Good carparking ad transport links nearby make this an easy place to get to.

Also on Green lanes is one of the areas oldest theatres the Intimate. Built in the 1930's and in need of modernization it does not have the facility's of the The Chicken shed, Dugdale or Millfield Theatres but the Intimate is often fondly thought of by the older generations who remember it in better days. This theatre is actually a Church hall and also bears the name st Monica's hall after the adjacent Catholic church.

Pantomimes in Enfield this Christmas 2017 and new year 2018 will Include the professional productions at the Millfield Theatre and the Dugdale but also enthusiastic and energetic offerings from Enfield am dram groups These include SMP who will once again tread the boards with and excellent panto at the intimate theatre. The new and exciting amateur dramatic theatre production company in Enfield is TEO who this new year are staging Dick Whittington. A fun family favourite this production will be a new year treat for kids of all ages.
